On the 6th of October we, Alice and I, rang the doorbell with big expectations
for an enjoyable evening with good food, good friends and nice talk. We were met by
Smörgås Nisse himself and wife Nadia and nice smells coming from the kitchen area.
BGS 61 Bo Eskesen and I were to be the judges during this Smörgås Nisse dinner,
both regarding look, taste and design.
All in all there were 6 persons taking in all the impressions. Stefan with wife Nadia,
Stefan’s mother Kajsa, Bo Eskesen, Alice and myself.
We were served an aperitif together with some snacks while waiting for
everyone to assemble and the food to be ready.
The horse d’oeuvre was an Eggplant and Bell pepper Terrine served with Chateau
Forbin de Jason, Cotes de Luberon 2003. This was very much enjoyed.
Next came a soup, it was Creme de Curry and the soup was served with Maison Chausseron.
Bourgogne Passetoutgrain 2002. Very agreeable!
After these to dishes we were really looking forward to the “Place Principal”.
And now it was served – Tournedo Rossini with Onion Gratin and Garden Vegetable.
We enjoyed this dish with Chateu des Proms, Graves 2002.
The dessert, Mango Mousse, excellent. Mango is my favorite fruit.
After this we were served Avec et Liqueurs, Cognac, Fine Mandarin Napoleon.
Another Smörgås Nisse dinner had come to an end and a new member
to be introduced during the next annual Cookvention.
