One of these rainy days the clouds suddenly shuttered, there was an invitation to a gourmet dinner.
Stefan, BGS 22, wanted to celebrate his 50th birthday together with some friends and I was one of the lucky ones invited!
BGS 2 Christer came from Saudi Arabia to join and BGS 23 Fredrik was joining as well as BGS 21 Bo.
On top of that Henrik and Sonia from Vietnam were there as well as two couples from the “bike gang” and of course Kajsa.
The chefs and Henrik came out to Ampang on Friday to discuss the menu. After some time we came to an
agreement to arrange a five course dinner and the discussion went on until we started hearing thunder.
As all were travelling on Harley Davidson bikes, they started back home, but I heard next day that they got soaked!
On Saturday, after the shopping was done, Stefan came and picked me up at 3 pm,
in order for me to join the pre activities. Together with Henrik and the chefs we had a
few drinks like Cosmopolitan, Black Russian, Gin Tonic etc.
The guests were served champagne and a delicious pancake with Philadelphia cheese mixed
with wasabi and topped with smoked salmon and rolled together and served in slices as a pre dinner appetizer.
We all also made a Swedish Hip Hip Hurra, Hurra, Hurra, Hurra for Stefan and of course the “Ja må han leva”.
The menu as discussed yesterday was set to be a five course dinner:
- Ceviche made with clams and prawns.
- Prawn soup done on tiger prawns. White wine
- Intermission made with a leave of celery topped with a tomato salsa. Sherry
- Salmon on a spinach bed with mashed potatoes. White wine
- Volcano chocolate cake with whipped cream and ice cream. Amaretto

During the dinner talk and singing mixed and the dinner was served in a very nice way without any stress or delay.
A very enjoyable evening in all aspects! “I will come back any time!” to quote one of the “bike friends”.
